Epiphany Diner Serves Last Supper at Fair | News

After forty six years serving fairgoers, Monday night is the last for the Epiphany Diner.

Paster Dennis Zehren at the Church of the Epiphany says the church can no longer afford to run the diner because it is not earning enough profits at the fair. An estimated 2,000 fairgoers turned out at the diner for one last meal Monday.

In 1955, there were twenty six church diners at the fair. After Monday, there will only be two. Next year, the Minnesota Farm Winery Association will move into the building.
