Roseville Names Interim City Manager

Roseville has named an interim city manager after Bill Malinen announced his resignation this week.

Current Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon has been named the interim city manager as of Friday. According to Roseville officials, he has been with the city since 2007 and has previous experience in Ramsey, North Branch, and Beloit.

Comic book fans will converge on the Minnesota State Fairgrounds this weekend for the Midwest Comic Book Association's SpringCon.
    
More than 225 comic book creators are expected at this year's comic book carnival.
    
The event opens to the public at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Roseville will be looking for a new city manager after Bill Malinen announced his resignation this week.

Malinen made the announcement Tuesday, saying in a statement, “I am proud of our many accomplishments and the opportunity to work with so many dedicated and outstanding employees and citizens.”

Roseville Parks and Rec Department Offers 'Friday Funtastic Field Trips'

Kids can get off the couch this summer and spend some time with the Roseville Parks and Recreation Department.

The department will be hosting adventures to kid-friendly locations every Friday. Highlights include water parks, arcades, amusement parks, and more. It's geared toward kids six-years-old and older, and chaperoned staff will be in attendance.

Teens Explore Acting with Rosetown Playhouse Summer Improv

Teens can work on their acting skills this summer with the Rosetown Playhouse Summer Improv group.

The program, organized through Roseville Parks and Recreation, is open to teens ages 13-16 who are interested in learning improvisation skills and performing in public. No experience is necessary.

Gay Marriage Becomes Legal in Minn., Thousands Celebrate
